Once mastered, thread chasers will allow you to put threads on turned lidded boxes, vessels, canisters, and other containers which would benefit from the extra closing security, or the shear novelty of being able to screw something on.
Designed for Crown by turner Bill Jones, these beautiful rosewood handled tools will expertly get you on your way. Each set comes with one chaser for the interior of the lid and another for the exterior of the vessel. The Chaser Recess Tool (#57938, sold separately) is used to relieve the container so that the threads stop before marring the vessels’ surface.
