PAX 8" X 20 TPI DOVETAIL SAW

Pax Hand Saws (A): Made with superbly finished blades of electrically melted alloy steel, these are the fine quality hand saws craftsmen have demanded for generations. Pax brand saws are taper ground (thicker at the tip, narrower at the heel) to reduce binding and ensure easy sawing in both soft and hardwoods. They are also breasted (made with a slight curvature to the blade) to reduce hang-ups and start more easily.

Their precise temper provides the perfect stiffness for accurate cutting. Fitted with the finest hard gloss finished beech handles. Brass screws, rivet heads, and medallion heads put the finishing touch on these fine tools. Each saw is sharpened and ready to go straight from the factory. All blades are 6-1/2" wide x .024" thick.

Pax Dovetail & Tenon Saws (B & C): The perfect partner to the rest of Pax's quality hand saw line. As the names imply, these saws are specially made for larger dovetails, joinery, and carcass work. They have the same alloy steel blades with a mirror finish and high quality brass back. The same high quality and attractively finished two-tone steamed beech handle fitted with 2 brass screws is standard.

The 8" Dovetail Saws (#45770 & 45774) have a 3-1/2" wide x .020" thick blade.

The 10" Tenon Saw (#64729) has a 3-1/4" wide x .024 thick blade with 2-1/4" depth of cut .

The remainder of the dovetail and tenon saws have 4" wide x .024 thick blades. England
