Calculating and marking the spaces for 5 mug pegs once took me 20 minutes. This ingenious English instrument does it in seconds! It has 8 marking points, and expands and contracts from a hair over 3" to 2 feet in length.

Ideal for any work where equi-distant spacing or dividing is required. Precisely space dowels, screws, biscuits, or nails - without the math.

Set the spacing, then lock it in with 4 brass knobs. Very well made, though not recommended for high tolerance work like dovetail layouts. England
