One of the problems with traditional try squares is that the occasional accidental drop can quickly throw them out of square. Once that happens there is little you can do to fix the problem. Not good for a tool on which you rely for precise reference and layouts.

Crown's Adjustable Try Square solves the problem beautifully.  By appropriately tightening or loosening the 2 set screws in the heel, the blade can be quickly re-aligned to perfect squareness.
