Good for touch-ups or getting into small or tight areas, and final finishing. Leaves a far better surface than sanding. Constructed with a very tight mouth for the finest of shavings. Has an 1-1/2" wide iron bedded at 45º. Body is approx. 5-1/2" long x 2-1/2" wide and has the same fine features as the bigger planes.

The 1/4" thick Starrett tool steel blades are hardened to Rc. 62. The versions we offer here have a user friendly brass adjuster instead of the traditional wooden wedge. Each model has an adjustable throat to produce very fine shavings and compensate for wear. Every plane is tested before it leaves the shop and, except for some minor adjustments, comes tuned and ready to use.
