A balanced blend of special solvents that is added to nitrocellulose lacquer to slow down the drying time and help prevent blushing.

Blushing (whiteness or cloudiness) is a condition that occurs the lacquer retains moisture.

Add retarder to lacquer whenever relative humidity is 50% or higher. Any amount added should be deducted from the thinner ratio.

Retarder can also be used to promote better flow-out (leveling) of the lacquer. USA
