CROWN 12" BOWSAW SPARE BLADE

Before the advent of band saws and jig saws this was the tool used for cutting everything from curves to furniture joints. The saw can be used on either the push or pull stroke and the blade can be turned to cut at any angle by rotating the handles.

The blade is tensioned by twisting the cord winding with the wedge, using the cross bar as a stop. Made from stained beech with pin type brass blade holders. 5-1/2" throat depth. England
