Easy Wood Tools Ci4M Mini Detailer - Handled
Designed with a reduced angle, the long cutting edges making the tool less aggressive as it is plunged into the work. In use the Detailer performs nearly as though a bevel is being rubbed. This angle reduction makes the tool very user friendly and you can feel safe that the trailing long cutting edge will not be sucked into the wood.
The user should not plunge the tool so deep into the work so that both sides of the cutter are engaged too greatly at one time as this would cause too much force on the setup.
With a Detailer, extraordinary results can be had on spindle and end grain work with most all domestic woods. When turning exotics, as with all tools, extra measures must be taken and raising the handle is generally preferred.
Use the Detailer to turn: Finials; Coves; Beads; Detail Grooves; Bowl Tenons; Dovetail cuts for chuck jaws - inside and out; Undercutting; and detail cuts where the cutter will physically fit.
The Mini Detailer has a hard maple handle with a natural finish that is about 12” long, and a 3/8” wide by 4” long stainless steel blade. Overall tool length is approximately 16”. Includes diamond shaped carbide cutter. USA
