The C12 is the lightest 12V drill on the market and the first cordless drill with a brushless motor. Lift a pound less each time you drill or drive without sacrificing any power. That’s 200 fewer pounds over the course of a typical day. As for longevity, the C12 will drive up to 1 million screws before it needs replaced.
Based on the revolutionary EC-TEC motor technology, the C12 incorporates a clever arrangement of motor, transmission, and battery, allowing an extremely short design. The brushless C12 motor lasts longer, runs smoother and quieter.
The “bullet-proof” gearbox uses a 3-stage planetary system for strength and versatility. This design puts motor load on dozens of gear teeth, instead of just a few, and packs a very high gear ratio into a small space. This short drive train means the drill never needs more than 6” of space to operate.
So which drill will you choose? Both the 1.3 & 2.4AH drills use NiCD (Nickel-Cadmium) batteries and have shorter re-charge times (25 & 50 min.) but won’t drive as many screws per charge (240 & 450). The 3.0AH uses NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries and has a longer re-charge time (70 min), however, it will drive more screws (560), a real plus in sitiuations where you don’t have handy access to a charger, and the battery is more environmentally friendly.
Each Drill includes: 2 battery packs; an LC 45 charger; a FastFix keyless chuck; and a Centrotec drill/drive starter set; all in a Systainer 1.
PC Drill Sets include: All the same items as above, plus both the Right Angle (490293) and Eccentric FastFix (490294) chucks.
