The WS2000 is a good grinding and sharpening solution for the home hobbyist and do it yourselfer. Operating similarly to the professional quality WS3000 model, the 2000 gives you many of the same features in an exceptionally affordable package.
You get the same 3 ways to sharpen tools - the Chisel & Plane Iron Port, and the Edge-Vision Port, and the Top with Tool Rest - and you also get the active, air cooled sharpening port with routed air flow and heat sink design, so you can quickly sharpen tools without overheating or damaging the steel.
It will sharpen chisel and plane blades up to 1-5/8” wide to a perfect, pre-set bevel angle of 25° - without any set up time. The two Edge-Vision wheels (150mm) which come with the unit use either solid or slotted adhesive backed abrasives and can sharpen both straight and curved edge tools.
