Used to true and flatten the face of the grinding wheel. Ensures that the accessories used on the grinder are always parallel to the surface of the stone. Attaches to the Tormek Universal Support to give precise control both in depth of cut and feed across the stone face. Diamond cutter can be fed evenly across the face of the wheel in either direction.
Feeding slowly produces a extremely smooth stone surface suitable for most tool edges. Higher feed rates leave pronounced grooves, making the stone suitable for more agressive sharpening or shaping hard steel tools with large bevel areas (ex. skewed turning chisels and jointer/planer blades).
