Spokeshaves, of course, are the ideal way to shape curved surfaces, rounded work, and end grain. These outstanding "shaves" from Woodjoy make the job easier and more enjoyable than ever. The innovative positive-lock fine thread adjustment mechanism allows precise adjustments to be made from the top of the tool. A simple hex key is all it takes to fine tune and lock the blade in place. You never have to remove the blade to adjust it. This same feature means no more tangs or posts on the blade, so nothing will get in the way when sharpening.
Extra thick A2 steel blades (about 25% thicker than most blades) add performance. As with premium hand planes, the beefier blade reduces skip and chatter, producing a finer, smoother cut. The 1/8" thick brass sole is longer than the mouth opening for the blade, putting the screws outside the cutting path of the blade, for smooth uninterrupted contact with the workpiece. Standard Scraper and Heavy 3" & 4" sizes are made from Brazillian Cherry. All others made from hard maple. USA

Performance Spokeshaves (B, D, F) - These flat soled shaves have low angle blades and are best for general purpose shaping work.
Compass Spokeshave (E) - Used for concave surfaces and detail work, such as Windsor chairs and cabriole legs.
