Some of the most stable, accurate guides available. Riding on high quality radial bearings, the guide keeps blades squarely and securely seated for some of the most accurate hand sharpening possible. Built-in laser engraved angle scale with positive detents for precise blade settings. Sliding Delrin blade alignment ring keeps blades perfectly perpendicular to the sharpening surface. SS1 (A) - Used with sharpening stones up to 1" thick x 3" wide. Sharpen blades up to 1/4" thick and 2-5/8" wide. Positive detents from 15-45 degrees.

SS2 (B) - Used with sharpening stones 1-2" thick and up to 4" wide. Sharpen blades up to 1/4" thick and 3" wide. Postive stop detents from 5 to 60 degrees. Has 5 & 10 degree detents to place a "back bevel" on plane irons. Effectivley increases plane pitch angle for difficult, figured woods.

SS3 (C) - This "short" model is for use on open flat surfaces such as surface plates or table saw tops using abrasive paper or paste, or on low profile plate glass or stones up to 3/8 inch thick and 4 inches wide. Also incudes 5 & 10 dgree postions for "back beveling".
