Very similar to luthier's hand planes, Collins Bunny Planes are small rabbeting profiling planes that excel at smoothing scarf transitions, crown molding joints, handrails and other trim. They also excel in carving, restoration work, and general rabbet and shoulder plane work.
Cabinetmakers and jewelry box makers will find themselves using them frequently for cleaning up moldings, trims, and other profiled surfaces. The planes are just 3" long, yet they are surprisingly easy to hold and control. The bodies are precision cut by the wire EDM method from low carbon stock and the blades are made from 1095 steel.
